Miss C was born on March 31 at 11:45 PM, narrowly escaping a lifetime of April Fools birthdays.
She was 7 lbs. 3 oz., 21 inches, and sweet sweet sweet.
We’re going to take a little break from here for awhile, but I’m hoping to post her birth story in a couple of weeks.
Thanks for all your kind words and comments!

God, I love their little ears and their tiny feet and those translucent fingers. I can practically smell that sweet baby smell.

May God bless sweet little Miss C and all her many days to come, and those of her dear parents…may they relish the miracle, bask in the afterglow, and please provide triple the joy for the wakeful moments as those few spent in slumber in these first weeks!

Congratulations. Boy, was she lucky to escape the April Fool’s birthday. Perfect timing on everyone’s parts. Hope you and Miss C. are doing well.

She is absolutely darling! You did a fabulous job, Em! Congratulations for all three of you!
Red.
Big congrats! There will come points in time when you will want to nibble on the “cute widdle feet.” Listen carefully because this is important: Do not– I repeat, DO NOT–eat the baby.
OMG!! She’s so beautiful! Congratulations!!!! EEEEEEK! (I’m seriously all teared up and ready to do the “preggo lady happy dance”, which really just means pointing my index fingers at the sky and wiggling around as much as my big old self can manage!!!) YAY!
Only just discovered your blog but Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful daughter. I’m currently expecting twins and only got 6 weeks to go so will be reading all your previous posts with great delight. xx
Welcome to the crazy world, Miss C. You landed a cool mom and that ain’t no small thing.

Congratulations! She is beautiful! Oh, and congrats on being Freshly Pressed as well :)
CONGRATULATIONS! Now my Freshly Pressed congratulations will lose some fanfare because this is pretty damn amazing in a forever-and-always kind of way. She’s beautiful and perfect! Enjoy!

Congratulation!!!
Your baby is adorable :)
Congratulations! Miss C is my birthday twin, 31 years apart! It’s an awesome birthday to have!
Allow me to add my Congratulations and Mazel Tov to you and your husband’s beautiful addition. As someone who was born on a holiday myself (Thanksgiving, thanks for asking), it’s not so bad.
Uh…so does the name of the blog change?
She is so beautiful! Very, very happy for your family. Welcome, baby!
Congrats, dear! She’s amazing! And can I just say WAY TO GO! It’s probably the biggest deal there is, popping a human out of another human. Welcome to the club! xoxo
Congratulations!
Congratulations times a million, for the million laughs your pregnancy blog has given us and for the million smiles Miss C is bound to give you!
Oh, congratulations! She looks lovely!
I can’t wait to read what you have to say once you come back to blogging.
Fist Pump! Way to go!
She is gorgeous! Congrats :)
Congratulations! I’ve only just started reading your blog but have to confess to having gone back and read from the beginning. Please keep it up, it would be lovely to hear about Bebe now becoming Miss C!
Daisy
Congratulations. Good on the baby and the new mother.
She’s so adorable! Not at all like Sophia, who was grey and wrinkly when she emerged but of course perfect now :) I’m amazed you can still keep up with blogging, replying and all that at this time!
The only reason I can keep up with it is because blogging and reading blogs is what I do when I’m nursing her. Hip hip hooray for the iPad! Have no idea where I’d be without it!
I did exactly the same thing! And kept getting nagged at by my dad about radiation. Didn’t stop me though, what else am I supposed to do while she drinks away, right? Hope Miss C is being good to you :)
She is a beauty! Congratulations and I hope motherhood is going well so far. Hopefully you are getting some rest and adjusting to all of the huge but wonderful changes having a newborn brings to your life.
She is SO beautiful! Be ready for the ride of your life.
And by the way, Aries women are the best! I ought to know…I AM one.
She’s beautiful. And I promise, you’ll get your sense of humor back as soon as you’re getting more than 5 1/2 hours of sleep a day. (Wait, that was me.) Congratulations! Have fun!
Thanks, Betsy! And it really is amazing what sleep can do; I’ve gotten a whooping six hours the last two nights and I’m ready to write for 30 Rock. Thanks for commenting and welcome!

She is so sweet. Congrats!
I’m sorry that I’m finally writing this so late.
That’s OK! You’ve had quite a lot on your plate. Thanks!
