A New Excuse to Watch Cartoons

Playing on my IPad makes me feel like a boss. Nevermind that I don’t actually own it. B got it for work and he’ll have to return it to the State of North Carolina once he leaves his position. Will we be able to afford our own? Highly unlikely unless Miss C starts paying rent. Despite the lack of scruples of Chik-Fil-A, I don’t think they’ll hire her until she’s finished kindergarten.

But we are all so behind the curve when it comes with this one particular piece of equipment. Um, remember Penny from Inspector Gadget? Remember her “computer book”?

It’s an IPad. DIC Entertainment was the Leonardo DaVinci of the 1980s. Steve Jobs (rest your soul), eat your heart out.

Enjoy your weekend!

  1. You should sit and watch all the cartoons you can with Miss C under the guise of “research”, so you can invent the next big thing and retire!

Wait – do we really need excuses to watch cartoons?

    1. Great idea! I sure as heck don’t need an excuse to watch cartoons. Cartoons are likely my #1 guilty pleasure.

  2. I don’t know all these cartoons you refer to because I don’t have children, but I still love cartoons. I have Lion King, Finding Nemo and some others in my DVD library. And I love Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.

    1. Lion King is awesome! Have you ever seen the stage version? Incredible.

  3. Haha! You’re so right. I remember going through Epcot, in that planet earth ride, where they showed the future of communication. I remember thinking, “Oh yeah, right, like people will be able to see each other when they talk 1/2 way around the world!” Hardy har!! Guess the joke was on me! Now Epcot has to update all their rides in “future world” because they’re all antiquated. These cartoon minds are way ahead of the rest.

    1. Yes! I remember that! We went to Epcot about eight years ago and as I remember it there was a LOT that needed to be updated. The Monorail was looking a little rickety.

  4. Hahaha! I completely forgot about that! I used to love that show.

    1. Me too. One of those early Nickelodeon gems.

  5. your blog is no longer appearing in my reader!! sad!

    1. Yep, since I changed my URL it hasn’t been appearing in people’s readers. Just unsubscribe and then resubscribe and it should be fixed :D

Now you can hold the magic talking stick.
